Adriana’s Testimonials

Paloma -

Hear about how Adriana supported Paloma through her journey of loss, and cared for her through to her next pregnancy, to deliver her beautiful rainbow baby.

“Our journey with Adriana started through an unforeseen unfortunate event. We happened to meet Adriana as she was the doctor on call the weekend we went through our pregnancy loss.

I was diagnosed that day with incompetent cervix and had been silently dilating for weeks, Adriana did everything possible to salvage our 19 week baby, but it was not meant to be. I remember she cried, hugged me and was so compassionate with our loss, I will never forget her words to me “this will not happen to you again, this is not where your story ends”.

Couple of months after we were miraculously pregnant again, I was referred to Adriana and she was so happy to be our Obstetrician, she wanted to change our story. She performed a cerclage at 13 weeks so our baby could be safe. Every consultation was detailed and no questions left unanswered, nor my request for a C-section denied, she made us feel safe. On the 1st of august she delivered our rainbow baby Calayah Marie, weighing 3.5 kg and with a great amount of hair!

Adriana is compassionate, knowledgeable and such a beautiful human being. Thank you Adriana for my amazing pregnancy and keeping your promise, you changed our story into a positive and unique experience.”

Tara -

Hear how Adriana supported Tara through some pregnancy complications and cared for her throughout all three of her pregnancies and births.

“Well where do I start, Adriana has been a monumental part of our life, caring for and delivering all 3 of my babies.

My first baby Frankie was born 5 years ago. I found out early in my pregnancy that I had contracted CMV (Cytomegalovirus) and straight away I researched who would be the best person to care for my baby and myself. That’s when I met Adriana, she instantly made us feel at ease and guided us with love, care and compassion throughout our entire pregnancy. She made us feel safe and secure in some of the toughest moments of our life, she was our guide and support and quickly became a person who we knew would be in our life forever. Our baby girl was delivered safely via caesarean section and is a healthy & thriving 5 year old now.

She then helped deliver our baby boy 2 years later, giving me the healing VBAC that I really needed. Fast forward 18 months later I finally was able to have my dream water birth with my second son.

I can not speak more highly of Adriana, I have trusted her through the most important moments in my life and I will forever be grateful that she has been there with us, through it all! I feel sad that our baby making days are over and we no longer get to see her smiling face, but I know Adriana will always hold a special place in our hearts and lives.”

Courtney -

Hear how Adriana supported Courtney in overcoming one of the most distressing times of her life and later, in building the big family she’d always dreamed of.

“My first pregnancy (MCDA twins) and the recovery that followed remains to this day - the most difficult/distressing experience of my life.

I experienced antenatal anxiety, intense nausea lasting the entire pregnancy, IUGR, pre-eclampsia, chronic migraines, an emergency caesarean section at 33+1 weeks, ICU after delivery, 10 weeks of NICU & Special Care. It was not a gentle introduction to motherhood that’s for sure.

Throughout the pregnancy I was closely monitored by Mater MFM through the public system and this is where I met Adriana. At a time where every interaction I had only increased my anxiety, she somehow lessened it. She made me feel seen and valued and cared for in a way no one else was able to. At my absolute lowest she met me where I was at and extended grace to me. She didn’t minimise my suffering or brush over my fears and concerns. She entered into it with me and helped carry the weight of it all. Her knowledge and training was such a reassurance to me and her comforting presence was a wrap around safety that carved out a space for me in the midst of my struggles that allowed for room to breathe and gave me hope.

Her care and heart towards me in that pregnancy (and each pregnancy since) is something I will never forget. If it hadn’t been for Dr Adriana Olog I doubt I would have ever been brave enough to go again. But knowing she would be there every step of the way gave me the courage I needed to open myself up to pregnancy again and try for the big family I’ve always wanted.

I have since had 3 more babies under her care and she has gone above and beyond each and every time ensuring I have a positive experience. I have never been treated so well or dealt with so generously. She has made the journey of building our family such a beautiful one.

Renee -

Hear how Adriana partnered with Renae to overcome miscarriage and safely deliver her beautiful baby Jakiah.

“It was the beginning of 2021 and after several years of fertility treatment, I was finally pregnant. The joy and elation was electric, in those days and weeks, life was perfection. Then, in mid-march 2021, my daughter Kensi, in the blink of an eye, was gone in a missed miscarriage. This was to be the first of several miscarriages back to back along with implantation failures, failed cycles and the general overwhelming pain and disappointment that comes with IVF.

...Just like that...I was no longer 40, I was 43, still no baby. Single and longing for a baby.

I commenced making plans to seek treatment overseas and without anyone knowing, it was all happening. A month after departure, I was pregnant. The realisation I was pregnant blew my mind and terrified me. Severe anxiety hit me like a wrecking ball which only got worse when I started to bleed in early pregnancy.

This is where my beautiful relationship with Adriana began. I had never taken a pregnancy to viability, and I had only ever known pregnancy loss. No baby was going to replace my previous babies and thankfully, I had an ally, a specialist who completely understood the emotional and psychological battle I was facing every day. She heard me. She saw me. She understood me.

We worked through each hurdle, we encountered step by step as a team.  From threatened miscarriage, second trimester haemorrhage, ongoing severe pain, dynamic cervix, raised uterine pressures in a “mama to be “ with a history of seizures, pain disorders, recurrent pregnancy loss and PTSD - I am proud to say team work made the dream work, and Adriana delivered my son, Jakiah George Elliott via C section on Thursday 26 October 2023. He was a mighty 1840 grams at birth.

My birth experience was beautiful. Absolutely breathtaking. Everything I could have wished for - a healthy crying baby. We had made it to that 34+ week mark.

Without Adriana’s compassionate care, dedication,  skill and above all, grace, I know deep down I would have struggled so much more through my pregnancy.

Thank you Ades for spending Autumn Winter and Spring 2023 on the most wild adventure of my life. I look forward to the next!”
